3D Print Congress & Exhibition 2019: what's in store for the 6th edition?

3D Print Congress & Exhibition 2019: what's in store for the 6th edition?
The 3D PRINT Congress & Exhibition, the leading trade show for additive manufacturing in France, will return to Lyon on June 4, 5 and 6. This 6th edition will once again be marked by the presence of leading international players in additive manufacturing and 3D printing. Not to mention the inevitable conferences that will punctuate the event throughout the day. To find out more about this new edition, Primante 3D interviewed Anne Isabelle Rausa, Director of the IDICE Industry Trade Show Division.

"Coming to the 3D PRINT trade show means saving time and money by coming to ask questions directly to exhibitors and speakers.

Hello, Anne-Isabelle, how does this 6th edition of the 3D Print Congress & Exhibition look like?

Hello, this 6th edition of the 3D PRINT Congress & Exhibition is part of the dynamics of a growing additive manufacturing market, still supported by a very strong innovation capacity. This ecosystem is still in turmoil: new technologies are emerging, new materials are being developed, offering new solutions almost every day.

We can see the emergence of new additive manufacturing machines that allow us to manufacture parts of all sizes, with increasingly complex shapes. This disruptive manufacturing method is bringing about profound changes in the industry, worldwide and affecting all industries. Additive Manufacturing is inviting itself in Design Offices, in workshops, and allows the manufacturing of customized tools or spare parts, now manufactured on demand directly on site.

The 3D PRINT Congress & Exhibition presents the different technologies and solutions of additive manufacturing, it is a platform of exchange on the necessary steps of this transformation with manufacturers and solution providers.

What will be the highlights of this new edition?

The free conference program remains an essential part of the show: feedback from major international groups, SMEs and start-ups reflects the cross-functional adoption of this technology of the future. The technical workshops are also an opportunity to exchange ideas on use cases and to discover various applications.

The highlights of the show are the awards ceremonies, with two prizes this year: the 3D PRINT Trophy and the Innovation Trophy. The start-up contest will highlight a promising innovation in additive manufacturing.

Other events will also punctuate the 3 days of the show, including the exhibition of parts, which reflects the diversity and complexity of manufacturing.

"We have chosen to highlight innovation with a new Trophy

Can you introduce your new award: the Innovation Trophy?

We have chosen to highlight innovation through a new Trophy, which will recognize the best innovation in machine, software or raw material in additive manufacturing.

This is an opportunity to promote an exhibitor's offer and to differentiate it from the realization of a part in additive manufacturing, which is the subject of the 3D PRINT Trophy.

3D PRINT is an international event, what program do you offer?

This year again, more than 50% of the speakers are international, coming from all over the world, Malaysia, Finland, Germany, USA, from large groups (GENERAL ELECTRIC, NASA) as well as from start-ups.

In addition to the speakers, there are also European and international exhibitors who are coming to offer their solutions to the French market.

A final word for the 6,000 expected participants?

Many manufacturers have questions about additive manufacturing, technologies, materials, etc. Coming to the 3D PRINT trade show means saving time and money by coming to ask their questions directly to exhibitors and speakers.
We invite you to come and enjoy the excitement of the 3 days of the leading additive manufacturing exhibition to leave with clearer ideas!
