The 3D INNOVATION AWARD honors the best innovation in additive manufacturing (machine, material, software, etc.) in all categories.
Each year, the Jury, comprising a panel of experts, makes an initial selection of the best projects. Companies having developed the selected solutions are then invited to pitch them to visitors during an Awards Ceremony in the conference room, after which the winner is announced.
Find out more about all the innovations rewarded since the creation of the 3D INNOVATION AWARD at 3D PRINT Lyon.
3D PRINT AWARD 2026 - Award for Excellence in 3D Application
The 3D Application Excellence Award recognized a particularly innovative application project, developed between 2025 and 2026, that demonstrates the practical potential of additive manufacturing in industrial, design, and sustainable applications.
Congratulations to POST INDUSTRIAL CRAFTS, which was awarded the 3D Application Excellence Award for its FLORE Chair project.
The FLORE Chair stands out of its approach combining design, robotics, and recycled materials, demonstrating how additive manufacturing can become a true driver of value creation-aesthetically, industrially, and environmentally. This project embodies a mature vision of 3D application, at the intersection of technological innovation and sustainability challenges.
The Jury:
- Lionel RIDOSZ, Additive Manufacturing Director SAFRAN
- Ramzi TEBOURSKI, Supplier Quality Engineer VOLVO TRUCKS
- Philippe FERAUD, Scientific and Technical Expert SNCF
- Stéphane LESPRIT, Materials Transforming and Recycling Expert L’OREAL
- Julien BAJOLET, Welding and Additive Manufacturing Manager AFPMA
3D INNOVATION AWARD 2025
At the 2025 edition, the company S.A.M – SIGNATURE AUTHENTICATION MATERIAUX impressed the jury members and was awarded the Best Innovation 2025 for its specially developed polymer filament.
SAM enables manufacturers to physically encode digital data directly into the material itself: identifiers, instructions, certificates, technical secrets, or security keys.
This encoding takes place during the 3D printing process, creating a unique and tamper-proof internal structure. Each object produced in this way contains an invisible material memory that can only be read using a dedicated SAM reader.
Jury Members:
- Isabelle COULONJOU, Innovation Project Manager – Coordination of Regional Calls for Projects AuRA - BPI FRANCE
- Philippe FERAUD, Scientific and Technical Expert - SNCF
- Stéphane LESPRIT, Innovation Engineer for Skincare and Fragrance Packaging - L’ORÉAL
- Lionel RIDOSZ, Additive Manufacturing Manager - SAFRAN
- Ramzi TEBOURSKI, Supplier Quality Engineer - VOLVO TRUCKS
3D INNOVATION AWARD 2022
Congratulations to AEROSINT who won the Best Innovation Award for machine, material, software and process, all categories combined.
Multi-Material LPBF: The Powder “Recoater” invented by Aerosint consists of a selective powder deposition system (SPD technology) allowing the deposition of powder pixels on a printing surface. This advance allows different types of materials (metals, ceramics, polymers, etc.) to be deposited precisely and according to the desired pattern on a surface in a single pass to compose a 3D printed part.
The Jury:
- Pierre-Antoine ARRIGHI, Fondateur ANIWAA et Directeur conseil SOPRA STERIA
- Philippe FERAUD, Expert Scientifique et Technique SNCF
- Stéphane LESPRIT, Ingénieur Innovation Packaging skincare et fragrance L’OREAL
- Lionel RIDOSZ, Responsable Fabrication Additive SAFRAN
- Ramzi TEBOURSKI, Supplier Quality Engineer VOLVO TRUCKS
