Limbforge: designing new and custom-made prostheses in 3D
What is the expressed need/issue?
Today, more than 35 million people in the world live with an amputated limb, and the vast majority do not have access to care because they live in low-income countries and face two obstacles: lack of care on the one hand and social stigma on the other. The Limbforge association's mission is to improve the quality of life of patients by designing new, custom-made prostheses, adapted to cultural specificities and in ever shorter time frames.
