Chemical companies BASF and DSM equip themselves with SLS 3D printing solutions from Prodways
French manufacturer Prodways has confirmed its partnership with two international chemical companies, BASF and DSM, by equipping them with several industrial 3D printers, specifically powder sintering machines.

These solutions will be used mainly for research and development and production purposes, allowing the chemists to test different materials and develop a more advanced and adapted offer for all industries.

For some years now, the chemical giants have been interested in additive manufacturing, convinced of its potential in the industrial sector. Just look at the strategic partnerships that have been formed between them and manufacturers of materials, machines or printing services.

Let's mention Arkema, which has developed its own platform dedicated to industrial additive manufacturing; or Solvay, which presented new materials for the Oil & Gas sector at Formnext 2019. Today we look at Germany's BASF and the Netherlands' DSM, which have both invested in industrial additive manufacturing solutions designed by French manufacturer Prodways.
