Camper speeds up shoe design process with 3D printing
"Camper is a famous Spanish shoe manufacturer that has recently integrated 3D printing into its design process. In collaboration with manufacturer BCND3D, it now prints numerous prototypes that allow it to validate a new product more quickly. The brand's FDM 3D printers give Camper more flexibility and, more importantly, enhance the creativity of its engineers and designers.

The footwear sector is a major user of 3D printing, as the technology makes it possible to customise a trainer and adapt it entirely to the consumer's morphology. Beyond this aspect of comfort, it is also a way for brands to be more innovative and to offer a unique design. This is what Camper and BCN3D are currently working on. They have installed Sigma and Sigmax in their offices, compatible with both rigid and flexible materials, thus expanding the type of prototypes that can be created."
