3D printed parts successfully installed on UK trains

3D printed parts successfully installed on UK trains
Last December we reported on a partnership between Stratasys and UK-based Angel Trains to develop additive manufacturing in the rail sector. Since then, the collaboration has progressed well and the first 3D printed parts have been installed in one of the company's trains. These are spare parts such as armrests and handholds. A breakthrough that demonstrates how 3D printing can improve the maintenance of passenger trains and produce components on demand more quickly.
